Ben has been venturing in the African technology and media space since 2003. He has doneet hnographic research on the emergence of software cultures in Kampala, Uganda, established the ICT Entrepreneurship fund at Hivos, and later taught classes in digital entrepreneurship at the University of Amsterdam. An angel investor and partner at Sanage Ventures, Ben is also the co founder of Afri Labs, a pan-African network of innovation hubs, and sits on the board of Activ Spaces, a Cameroon based incubator. Ben is a co founder of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) and in 2007 he founded Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), the lead ingon line platform serving the African startup community.
